Individuals are ranked according to volume of edits to their Wikipedia profiles. We started with the 2,265 living people born in 1933 with pages on the site, then measured the number of “quality edits” to their page: Revisions made by registered editors, which excludes both anonymous edits and revisions by “bots.” We further limited the count to one edit per user per day in order to dampen the effect of individual obsessive editors. Testing across several categories suggests this is a good measure for a person’s influence across a broad spectrum of disciplines.
