In an “open letter to the people of Brazil,” NSA leaker Edward Snowden offered to aid investigations into American spying in exchange for political asylum. Snowden is currently in Russia, which granted him a temporary one-year visa. He has appealed to Brazil and other countries before. “Until a country grants permanent political asylum, the US government will continue to interfere with my ability to speak,” Snowden wrote. His letter comes a day after a federal judge ruled that the NSA’s surveillance of U.S. telephone records was likely unconstitutional.
