Vice President Joe Biden is in Asia for a week as tensions run high between China and Japan over disputed air space in the East China Sea. Biden criticized China’s claim of sovereignty over the islands it calls Diaoyu, known in Japan as Senkaku, noting “increased the risk of accidents and miscalculation,” China’s actions cause. Biden said he will discuss the issue with Chinese leaders.
