Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk and his private space flight company SpaceX successfully launched their first major commercial satellite into high orbit on Tuesday aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. Other launches to this point were test runs or with NASA. Of the 50 upcoming launches SpaceX has planned, more than half are for commercial customers.
