Federal Reserve Vice Chairwoman Janet Yellen is expected to face a spate of difficult questions on Thursday as the Senate Banking Committee considers her nomination as head of the Federal Reserve. “Our country has come a long way since the dark days of the financial crisis, but we have farther to go,” Yellen said in remarks released in advance of the hearing.
